November 25th Update

Tomorrow November 26 is a Pro D Day – No school For Students. Teachers will be doing In-Service with Indigenous Focus

Enjoy an extra long weekend!

* Important Information For Parents*

If your child has an appointment during the school day we kindly ask the following to avoid disruption to the teaching and learning environment…

  • Be respectful of your child’s teacher and classmates (come and go at 12:15).
  • Make sure your child’s teacher knows exactly when you are picking up your child. The teacher will send your child to the office at the time you indicate.
  • Any dismissals or admissions during the school day must be done from the office.
  • Parents must come to the Library entrance or the 45th Ave W entrance to pick up their child.
  • Parents must call the office once they arrive and the child will be released to them.

Due to the unavoidable disruption this causes the class, teacher and office it would be appreciated if students could try to come – and go – at 12:15.

If you have a morning appointment, keep your child at home, attend the appointment, and then return your child to school at 12:15.

If you have an afternoon appointment, pick your child up at 12:15 and keep them home for the rest of the day.

In every case, please leave a message on our Safe Arrival line, 604 713 5356 and choose option 1.

Earthquake Fundraiser Reminder:

We’ve had an amazing response from parents recognizing the necessity to donate to the redeveloping of our earthquake supplies. Tax receipts are issued immediately for donations above $25.00. Sincere thank you to those families who have already donated.

All donations can be made via your child’s SchoolCashOnline account, and tax receipts will be issued immediately. Here are the step-by-step instructions: Sign into your SchoolCashOnline account. You will see a dark button labelled “Make a Donation” at the top right. Click on that button then select the amount you would like to donate. Choose “E-Maple Grove” from the drop down menu labelled “Fund Destination”. Please indicate Earthquake Relief Fund in the notes section to ensure your donation goes to the correct fund. Finally “Add to Cart” and complete the payment section. Thank you!

Reminder! Art Club fundraiser is ongoing.

Hello Maple Grove Families!

The Maple Grove Art Club is holding its first fundraiser. It is our hope that we will raise enough money to fund our future Art Club projects. One of these projects is a mural for the whole school to enjoy. Our grade 6 and 7 artists have been busy creating handmade holiday greeting cards. Please make a donation using school cash online (minimum donation is $2.00) and you will receive one of these greeting cards made by our Art Club members in exchange for your generosity.  The deadline to donate and receive a card is Friday, December 10th. Cards will be sent home with your child before the winter break.  Watch your email for an invitation from CashonLine to donate.
