Dear Parents/Families:

This is a reminder of the message we sent on our February 5, 2021 post regarding parking signage on 45th Ave. W. The signs have been replaced so be sure to read them to avoid being ticketed. Previously there was a 3 minute no parking zone. It is now NO STOPPING!

Parent/Teacher conferences will happen on April 6th and 8th. They will be Virtual only. Please remember that you need to pick up your child at 2:00 pm for early dismissal on both April 6th and 8th.

A message from our new Vice Principal

Dear MG community,

My name is Valérie Carrière and I am your new MG Vice-Principal. This is my fifth school as an administrator. I have previously worked as VP at: Tennyson, Queen Elizabeth Annex, Jules Quesnel (twice!) and L’École Bilingue. I am very happy to embark on this new journey and am looking forward to tackling the last few months of this unprecedented school year. I hope that I will have the chance to meet families soon, but until it is possible, please know that I will be making every effort to support MG’s students, staff and families to the best of my abilities. I have had a lovely first week getting acquainted with my new school community. Thank you to all staff and students for the warm welcome; your smiles and positivity have made this a wonderful place to come to every morning.

The online Spirit Wear Store is NOW OPEN, and closes on April 9th. Now’s your chance to get your hands on the coveted MG Wildcat apparel. Don’t delay…you don’t want to miss out!

This year, we are offering T-shirts, Hooded Sweatshirts, and Full Zip Sweatshirts (new!) in red, dark grey and light grey options. All apparel comes in Youth and Adult sizes; sizing information is available on the online store. (Note for families who purchased spirit wear last year, the brand of apparel is the same if you wish to use that to gauge size.)

In accordance to COVID-safe protocols, the entire process will be online. Shop from an online store, pay with a credit card, and have your order shipped directly to you or pick up from the print shop. Free shipping will be available for orders over $150.

Satisfaction Survey for Parents

Student Learning Survey Project

During the months of January to April, the Vancouver School District is participating in the 2021 Ministry of Education Electronic Anonymous Student Learning Survey Project in cooperation with all other school districts throughout the Province.

Parents/Guardians/Caregivers can complete the online Anonymous Student Learning Surveys any time before 11:59 pm April 30^th, 2021, providing immediate results to the school and the district. Please see attachment for more details on how to complete the survey.
