ADMIN MESSAGE

Dear Parents and families.

Please know that we’re working hard to get information to you asap. We have two quick items at the moment: Complete the previously sent survey, and when we plan to send details of the Maple Grove Restart Plan

Firstly, last week the district sent all public school parents a letter outlining 4 learning options and a survey to complete. It is only an expression of interest, it’s not a commitment or registration process.

The district is collating the survey results and will share the numbers with schools to assist us with our planning. Right now we have no idea how many students are planning to return or continue with online/ remote learning.

We want to remind all families that the deadline to submit the survey is by 4:00pm today, and that it would be helpful to the school to have a high response rate so that we don’t have to spend time calling families on Monday/Tuesday asking what their preference may be.

Secondly, we have been busy working on the MG Restart Plan. While it may be similar to June’s plan, its very thorough and contains important information for families. It’s important to know that school will not be the same as it was when students left for spring break. There are a lot of safety protocols that have been put in place to ensure distancing, hygiene and personal safety. Even something as simple as sharing a book or iPad is not happening due to health protocols.
