FIRST DAY BACK TO SCHOOL IS ON TUESDAY,

PARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

At drop offs or pickups, you may have noticed students in safety vests with stop signs at the intersection of Cypress and 47th. These students are members of our dedicated Safety Patrol team. Their role is to ensure pedestrians cross safely and help cars remember to respect the crosswalk. Over 50 students share this responsibility at 8:40-9:00 am and 3:00-3:20 pm every single school day.

We are looking for parent volunteers to supervise and support our students in this important role by standing near them and giving guidance when needed. How often you will need to participate depends on how many volunteers come forward. Training will be provided before your first day. FRESH TO YOU FUNDRAISER

Our annual Fresh To You Fall produce fundraiser is here! The aim of the fundraiser is to promote healthy food choices with fresh high quality seasonal produce that’s locally grown in BC, while helping fundraise for the school.

There will be 2 different bundles to choose from:

• Veggie Bundle for $20: 5 lb bag of Pacific Sunrise Potatoes, 3 lb bag of Carrots, 3 lb bag of Red Beets, 3 lb bag of Yellow Onions
• Fruit Bundles for $18: 5 lb bag of Gala Apples, 3 lb bag of Pears

Please consider selling bundles to family members, friends and neighbours. The Maple Grove PAC receives 40% profit on all bundles sold. The top seller will receive a youth medium spirit wear t- shirt!! Order deadline is Friday October 18th at 3 pm.

Order Form, along with payment – cash or cheque made payable to Maple Grove School PAC – can be handed to your child’s teacher or in the PAC mailbox in the office.

Expected delivery of the bundles will be between November 12th – 22nd. When a delivery date is confirmed, you will be notified via an email by your class parent with pick up information.
