PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
Dear Parents,
Wow!!!! What an amazing week at Maple Grove! Families are invited to come view the plans for the new Maple Grove school! Plans and renderings are mounted on the walls outside the office on the main floor. Stop by the library to see the model before/ after school, or better yet, come join us for Friday morning coffee time for a viewing.
We are looking forward to receiving our amazing gr. 6 Campers back later today! Special thank you to Mr. Naipaul, Mr. McDonough, Mr. Mann, Ms. Chester, Ms. Huang and Ms. Thompson for going as the adult supervisors.
Big props to our Gr 7 Ultimate Team, the team displayed excellent skill and sportsmanship as they won lots of games at the Friday Vancouver Ultimate Jamboree.
Leaving school early for summer vacation?
The school will be happy to mail your child’s report card if you provide a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Otherwise you may give your teacher a note to allow another person to collect the report card. Any reports cards that are not collected on June 28th will be kept in the office until September.
Lost and Found
Please encourage your child to check the Lost and Found for missing items. We’ll have to donate and/or dispose of all the items in the next couple of weeks.
Anything look familiar?
Congratulations to all the runners who participated in the 2018 RBC Race for the Kids.
Our Maple Grove Runners team raised over $4,300 to help BC Children’s Hospital!!
Despite a bit of early morning rain, many KM Club members and their parents came out and enjoyed a 2- or 5-km fun run around Queen Elizabeth Park followed by refreshments and entertainment.
I’m very proud of all the Maple Grove Runners — well done!
Race for the Kids is a great event and a very worthy cause — we hope to see even more students, parents and staff join the team next year!
