PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
Dear Maple Grove Families,
It’s been another busy week at Maple Grove. It started last weekend with Ms. Smith and I being appraisers for the regional DI tournament in North Vancouver. Our Maple Grove teams did very well… one even won the Renaissance Award. Now we look forward to the Provincials to be held on April 6th. Tuesday we completed our Lockdown drill with the VPD and have devised a strategy to work closely with our Secondary School partners so that our schools work in tandem regarding safely and security.
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday were busy with team meetings and various visitors to the school including the City of Vancouver Recycling program and Beading for Div 4. Thank you to so many parents for attending today’s PAC meeting. It was great to see so many parents present and interested in their child’s schooling. Thanks to Galen and Karrie for organizing.
We are moving into what promises to be a busy spring. As part of some team-building and staff dynamics we asked one of our amazing parents, Cliff, if he would host a sushi lunch for staff…. IT WAS AMAZING! and YUMMY! Thank you Cliff for all of your support and involvement in the school (pics below).
Sincerely,
Principal Evans
Thank you Cliff for the delicious sushi lunch!
The staff enjoyed a wonderful lunch created and prepared by very accomplished chef, Cliff Saito.

Congratulations Grade 4 DI Team!
Our Grade 4 Team which is named “The Egg Tarts” and comprises 5 members, namely, Ali Hall, Owen Lee, Samantha Mullan, Kaitlyn Shiu and Anthony Wong, placed first in their category, the Engineering Drop Zone at the Elementary Level, and is the winner of the Instant Challenge in their category, at the Regional Tournament held last Saturday, 3 March. They will move on to the Provincials to be held on 7 April.
We would like to thank Ms Lin and Ms Griffiths for supporting this team in various ways. Though they are not the official sponsors of this team, their generous support is essential to their final delivery of presentation at the tournament.
Lost and Found
Parents: Please ask your children to check for lost items – the lost and found area is overflowing. We will be donating unclaimed items to charity after March break.
