Professional Development Day on Monday, January 30th – No school for students – Enjoy the extra-long weekend!
PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
Dear Parents,
I just wanted to take a moment to acknowledge and recognize the wonderful support and participation in the Lunar New Year Celebration that PAC hosted last Friday. It was so nice to see so many parents and students at the event. It’s that type of community spirit that helps make Maple Grove such a lovely place to go to school. Thank you to all the parents, the committee members, organizers and hosts and chairs. Thank you also to Paula and Wayne for being wonderful M.C.’s. Also thank you to the PAC and Executive as well as our Co-chairs, Karrie and Galen for their leadership. It was a great team effort. Finally, thank you to all the community groups and organizations who donated services, products and time.
On an unrelated matter, parents – if your child has an appointment during the day, and you’re planning to pull them from school early, it’s helpful to (a) send a note to the classroom teacher and (b) sign them out at the office before removing them from school grounds.
Camp Read
Sitting on blankets with no shoes, reading books, making hot cocoa and having fun! This is what students at Maple Grove did to celebrate Camp Read on Friday.
