December 16th Update

Winter%20Wonderland

Merry Christmas!!!!!
Have a fun, relaxing and safe holiday from all the staff at Maple Grove!  First day back to school is Tuesday, January 3rd.  Thank you to everyone for doing such a wonderful job with the Winter Concert.  PAC, parents, staff, students and volunteers worked tirelessly to make the day successful.

First Nations Fair

Division 16 held a “First Nations Fair” on Thursday morning. The students’ in-depth research introduced visitors to a range of topics including environmental issues, dances, health care, treaties, fishing rights and storytelling.  It was wonderfully exciting and engaging.  The students did a great job researching and presenting.

In the spirit of the season, students and families from Divisions 14, 15 & 16  gave generously to the Lookout Emergency Aid Society on the Downtown Eastside. They put together personalized “care boxes” with toiletries and kind wishes and delivered them just in time for the holidays.

This exciting new event is starting to take shape!

We are very grateful for the support and help we have received already!

We are looking for volunteers to help us with some food, crafts and entertainment.

As well,  PAC is hoping to find any Maple Grove families that may be able to contribute to this event with their services or products!  We are specifically looking for food distributors, catering services and prize donations.

Please email Karrie at ckbogart@shaw.ca if you can help in anyway!

We will be meeting in the library on January 6th at 9am.  Please join us!
