PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
Dear Parents,
As the Autumn leaves fall so too do our hearts, as the grey days of November are upon us. This is indeed a time of Remembrance.
This coming week, on November 9th, we will host our annual Remembrance Day Assembly. Parents are invited. There will be some chairs and standing room at the back of the gym. Please know that this is NOT a candid moment for taking pictures of your child. This is a Remembrance Assembly. Therefore, it would be inappropriate to take pictures at the assembly. The assembly will begin at 10:30 am. Please do not try to gain entrance if you are late- it would be inappropriate and unexpected to interrupt the ceremony.
Thank you to all the parents and families who came out to support our Annual Halloween Dance. It was very well attended and everyone had a wonderful time. Thank you to the parent organizing and decorating committees… it was obvious that a great deal of time, pride, organization and effort had gone into the event.
Regards, Principal Evans
Did you know Mrs. Lai is Retiring?
Jamie’s last day is November 9th. We wish her all the best. We’ll really miss her, but we know she’s off on an exciting new phase of life. Thank you, Jamie, for all you’ve done to help make Maple Grove a wonderful place to be.

Book Sale at Maple Grove to support our Library
Here’s another chance to support our Maple Grove Library and help build its great collection of books enjoyed by all the students.
FRIDAY NOV 25th and MONDAY Nov 28th Mrs. Tornroos and Kidsbooks will be hosting a BIG BOOK SALE in the library.
Dorling Kindersley Canada http://www.dk.com/ca/ will be supplying an excellent range of nonfiction books on everything from Computer Coding, Nature, Science and Astronomy to Cooking, Crafts and LEGO for both kids and adults. Please come by and get a headstart on your Christmas shopping at 20% off regular retail prices.
All books sales will support our library as we receive Dorling Kindersley book donations in kind. You may also purchase books to donate to the library — we will add a special bookplate to all donated books to acknowledge your family’s generosity.
More details on the Book Sale hours and location will follow.
NOTE: Any parents able to volunteer to help at the sale please contact Mrs. Tornroos.
