On April 14, next Monday, you will receive a form to purchase orchids. This is a fundraiser to help raise money for this years grade 7 graduation celebrations. This will make a perfect gift for Mother’s Day, friends, family or birthday gifts. Your generous support is greatly appreciated!
Garage Sale by Global Citizenship Club
The Global Citizenship Club is asking for gently used children’s books and toys to be donated. We will be having a garage sale later this month to raise money for the:
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Look for boxes in the front hall next week.
MINISTRY SATISFACTION SURVEY
In April, students in Grades 4 and 7 will be taking an on-line survey related to their school experience. A reminder that parents of students in Grade 4 and 7 can also complete a survey by completing a paper form available at the school. The school office staff enter the data. A better way would be to go on-line yourself to complete the survey. You will need a login number which is available from the school office. You can email Mrs. Peters, jpeters@vsb.bc.ca, to get your personal login number. The site for the survey is: http://www.bced.gov.bc.ca/sat_survey/access.htm
VIRTUE OF THE MONTH – CARING
Caring is giving tender attention to people. It is being compassionate, listening to others wholeheartedly, and without judgment. Help your child by giving them ideas of caring things to do and say. Ask them, “How will your Mum/Dad/ Grandma/Friends know that you care about them?”
