TALENTED ARTISTS AT MAPLE GROVE

Our kindergarten students from Division 20 have done some wonderful paintings on wood of horses. Their work was inspired by Franz Marc’s “Blue Horse”. Thank you to Kerrisdale Lumber for donating the wood.

Right to Play Leadership Training-April 2nd 2014

Right To Play is a global organization that uses the transformative power of play to educate and empower children facing adversity in many developing countries. It was founded in 2000 by Johann Olav Koss, a four-time Olympic gold medalist and social entrepreneur. Through sports and games, they help children build essential life-skills and better futures, while driving social change in their communities with lasting impact.

On this Wednesday, April 2nd, 11 of our grade 6 students attended the Right to Play Leadership workshop where they learned how to teach games to other students. Shortly, these student leaders will be sharing their skills and knowledge, coaching Maple Grove students how to play cooperative games.

It was an educational, active and fun morning for all our students!
