Foundation Skills Assessment for Grades 4 and 7
Students in Grades 4 and 7 will be taking a province wide test in Reading, Writing and Numeracy over the next few weeks. Parents will receive a letter from Patti Bachus, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees in Vancouver. Parents may request that the Principal excuse a student in the event of a family emergency, a lengthy illness, or other extenuating circumstances. They do this by completing the form that will come home with the letter from Patti Bachus. The Principal may excuse children who have learning challenges or are new to the English language. These parents will receive a letter from the Principal. Results of the test are sent home to parents. However, the marks do not count towards report card grades. Information is available at: http://www.bced.gov.bc.ca/assessment/fsa and on the BCCPAC website at www.bccpac.ca.
