Our class, Division 12, uses the school iPads every few weeks. On Wednesday morning, the students used a variety of apps. Juli, one of the Kindergarten students in the class, took this great photo using one of the photo apps on the iPad. Maybe she will be a photographer when she grows up!

MAPLE GROVE ART GALA

The art gala was an amazing event which made me feel so proud of our wonderful Maple Grove Artists and our teachers with the skills to teach them everything from pointillism to perspective, from Emily Carr to Picasso, from First Nations Art to Ukrainian Pysanky. It was truly a joy to see the pride the students felt that their art was in a gallery like this. Thank you to all the teachers who made the time to present the art so professionally and to the organizers, Sarah Adams and Tannis Fisher.

SPORTS DAY

What a wonderful day we had. The rain held off, we had many guests,  former students as helpers, and parents. What fun to see our little pre-schoolers run down the aisle in the first race of the day and how lovely to hear the enthusiasm of the students in the cheers that ended the day. Thank you to all those who helped us and we look forward to another Sports Day next year.

Montessori Parent Volunteers Needed

Are you interested in assisting with the development of a Montessori parent education series?

This summer two highly regarded Montessori teacher trainers, Irma Rodriguez and William Maier, will be in Vancouver. They will be working with the Vancouver School Board’s Montessori Teacher Training program and would like to collaborate with parents who are interested in the developing of a Montessori parent education series. We are looking for parent volunteers, whose children attend a VSB public Montessori school, to share ideas for the parent education series. We are interested in developing parent education that will best meet the needs of VSB public school Montessori parents. Please come and share your ideas.

Lost and Found

We will be giving unclaimed Lost and Found items to charity at the end of the year.   We have moved the Lost and Found to the hallway outside the office.  Please have a look for anything you are missing.
