Extra Long Weekend
Please remember that there is no school on Friday, February 3rd or Monday February 6th. These are District Closure Days. I hope that you all enjoy the extra time together with family and plan some interesting or even educational field trips and activities.
Turn Off the Screen Results
We were very happy to have 152 students commit to turning off their screens this past week as part of Family Literacy Week. We received some very good feedback about this. One person reported that they had done it as a family. It was a challenge but they survived and were glad they did it. Another said that their child had been so much nicer that week, not being attached to a screen and therefore more willing to talk and participate in family activities.
The winners of the $25 gift cards for Vancouver Kidsbooks were: Ping Chi Chin, Zachary Breiddel, Asheara Gentles and Hannah Jeong.
